I am an emo punk... and i dont appreciate all those haters... emo music is awesome and i love Good Charlotte and RelientK which happen to be emo bands... and they rock... those petitions against emo are giving GC, Simple Plan, relientK, HIM, Bam Margera, Element, Independent, Etnies, DC, Adio, Osiris, Baker and every ohter skate company/punks/emo rockers/emo bands a bad name...

i am compeletely for this standing up against the haters! emo music is amazing. and if we have to get labeled for listening to it, we should start playing it through download festival sized speakers in the middie of our town centres. just to show them what we are capable of. x

I don\'t really like lables, but i suppose it really can\'t be stopped. I get my fair share of shit for supposedly looking emo, i don\'t really care. I just find its really sad when people who dress the same as everyone alse need to prove how unoriginal and socially retaded they are by bashing someone who try to be their own person. Whats the difference if i wear skinny jeans or baggy band t-shirts? Hell, i listen to heavy metal, not emo rock, but still i get labled emo because i like a certain style. All these stupid pircks try to dress like gangsters and hoes, to me they are the ones who should be ridiculed with their pants down to their knees and tits hanging out. And since when does dressing a certain way mean that you cut yourself? What kind of bullshit is that? I don\'t know how many times i\'ve been asked if i cut myself. why would wearing converse induce the urge to cut myself? So all you f**king haters can go to hell, cause i like my style and no one\'s changing it. ROCK ON EMO\'S!!!!!!

There is definately a difference between emo, punk and goth. I know from experience that the gothic community is not okay with emos, and I've heard several people at punk rock shows(underground dive bar ones because that's what punk REALLY is) say that emos are a bunch of pussies. As a fan of real punk rock and a member of the gothic community, I'm deeply offended that you all consider yourself part of punk and goth subculture. Emos don't go to goth clubs, and aren't admitted into them anyway. Also, if an emo tries to go to a Real punk show, they get their face pounded in. Fall out boy isn't punk, and they never will be! It doesn't even sound remotely like punk! also, listening to metal and wearing black doesn't make you goth. goth means... oh... well... LISTENING TO GOTH ROCK? It's really kind of obvious when you think about it. Wearing Lip Service knockoffs from hot topic just makes you another pitiful poser out there. Do something unique with your look and check out some real punk and goth. The only way you will ever find real goth and punk is by exploring underground music. If you are interested in learning what goth really is, look it up on wikipedia, and shop ere instead of hot topic: www.batgearbeyond.com
