The Mission of this Petition:

To encourage corporations to hire employees, and only promote employees who will treat all customers, regardless of race, class or gender with respect and dignity. To encourage corporations to end corporate business methods of corruption and fraud within their businesses.

Why is this petition so important?

Once upon a time, long, long ago, small businesses had to treat all customers with fairness, respect and dignity because they relied upon their small, local community. But corporations, especially those in large cities, have discovered that because they have thousands of employees and millions of dollars in profit that because they are able to treat many of their small business customers and minority customers, women customers, elderly customers and minority customers with rudeness and lack of respect. In addition, many corporations have developed a corrupt business practice known as 'bait and switch.'

The corporate version of bait and switch is to promise a customer a certain high quality item or high quality level of service, but then give the customer something totally different without apology, in addition to rudeness. Then, when the customer doesn't want it, the manager (not the customer) of the corporate store simply will "get a full refund" for it from the parent corporation. [These words were quoted by Mark, Office Max manager at store #828, 7872 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys California on 12-21-04, just 4 days before Christmas, as he bragged about his new system of corrupt business methods. A minority customer paid Office Max in advance for an expensive, custom made Christmas present, was informed it would be ready in 2-3 days, yet waited over a week for it, but when fraud was discovered Mark informed the customer (after the bait and switch scam was used on the customer) that the customer's inconvenience was only worth $3.00. Mark said this is because it would work out better for Mark (not the customer) when his "store received a full refund" from the parent company]. A community-wide, possibly nationwide, boycott is being planned against OfficeMax due to the widespread use of the bait and switch corporate fraud methods.

What is at stake?

If corporate businesses are able to continue their rudeness, fraud and scam artist bait and switch business methods, all customers of all races and classes of these corporations will suffer. In addition, your children, brothers, sisters, mothers and grandparents of all races who are customers of these unscrupulous corporations will continue to be their unsuspecting victims.

Who should sign this petition?

If you, or someone you love has ever felt that a franchise or a corporate business treated you rude please sign this petition. If you, or someone you love has ever felt that a franchise or a corporate business sold you a poor quality product or given you poor quality service please sign this petition. If you want to make sure that your children, brothers, sisters, your mother and grandparents are not future victims of corporate business fraud and rudeness, please sign this.
