The rarity of a disease does not make it unimportant. Great minds are lost in any war, no matter what the scale. It's been said that the two World Wars destroyed some of the finest minds of the 20th century, thereby depriving humanity of untold advances. FM is a battle fought on a much smaller field, but it poses just as great a threat to all of us. Consider the potential loss of that one leader who might bring peace to the world, of the only scientist capable of preventing the next pandemic, of the philosopher most able to light our way to personal happiness, of the many artists who would bring us joy — and above all, to the loved ones whose impact on our future is immeasurable. Can we stand by and let FM steal so much from us?

Every person with an illness needs recognition of the-at illness, medical treatment, as well as compassion and care. Managed Care and Medicare will only realize the importance of this when they or someone close to them develops a rare disease.
I am an MA and I know that there are diseases that are yet to be discovered and named. I think that this would be shameful of our counrty if we only reconized certain diseses not ALL of them.
No one should have to go without proper medical help and diagnosis, not for any reason. Please know that my husband and I will be praying for all of you who suffer from this horrific disease.
I would like the our government to recognize this disease. It has not affected anyone in my family however a very dear sweet lady is afflicted with this disease and I feel that she and others like her should receive the help they need.
This disease is killing a very good friend and she is even having trouble receiving Medicare benefits . Please help bring awareness to the forefront of this disease.
