English is not our native language and this was written very quickly but hopefully you'll get the spirit of it.

Consoles gain popularity, no doubt. More and more households own one. They are a source of entertainment, not only gaming alone. Take the ps3 for example:

you can go online, play dvd's, Blu-ray's, mp3's, watch photo's, store information and much more. More than that: most common househoulds find a console

cheaper and less sophisticated than a pc. Gaming pc's that can run the system requirements of today cost a fortune compared to consoles, even for the most

dedicated gamers, and the risk exists that it won't run on that particular machine. The parts are getting too old too fast. We love the pc, don't get us

wrong, it's the machine to release Football Manager on. We just want to see Football Manager released on ps3, for the love of game!

But expressing our love for the game won't be enough. Video games publishers essentially aim for profit. Developers aim for honor out of love of the game. Well most of them, but we are certain it's the case with SIGames. It's hard to find a balance between that: we all know that making games for the ps3 is a difficult and expensive process. But there are some reasons which we think suggest a positive climate to start developping games for the ps3.

First of all, PS3 development kits dropped in price from 20,000 dollars at release, to 2000 dollars currently. Sony support is getting better and cheaper.

Secondly, SIGames aren't completely unfamiliar with developing for Sony technology. They've made Football Manager Handheld for the psp and not without

success. Metacritics show us a nice score of aprox. 80/100 for three releases. Not bad!

Needless to say: the market share of consoles and games as entertainment is rising. As I wrote earlier, consoles create a potentially new consuming market.

In our early days games were for a select group of people: they were called gamers. Nowadays gamers are just seen as people: everyone plays games. Commercials for games were unseen for a couple of years ago, now they are widespread. People of various ages can be seen playing on consoles. MP3 went Ipod, games can go the same way on consoles. Of course, maybe mp3's sounds better on high end technology and games on high end pc's but popularity is power when it comes to sell stuff.

Another reason is the popularity of soccer, certainly in Europe! The success of the EA sport's Fifa series on the playstation has never been seen before! Isn't Playstation the sponsor when it comes to the Champions League?

We just want to bring together a big shout and interest in SIGames considering Football Manager on the ps3!
