I support this petition. 20th Century Fox is clearly envious of Warner Bros. actually doing something with the Watchmen property instead of letting it linger in Fox "creative/legal" limbo. They know a good thing when they see it and are trying to save face by barring its release. They are better off letting it happen and just negotiating a cut of the (insanely huge) profits to come. It would be unfair to stop this movie from being released! Fox knew that the movie was being made and should have stated their copyright complains earlier in the process. It's an insult to the people who participated in Watchmens production and us fans.
By following through with your lawsuit, you are proving you have absolutely no interest in the art of film making, and are purely concerned with how much money you can squeeze out of a project you never even began to produce in the first place. Shame on you, Fox.

I support this petition primarily because Fox should have spoken up sooner if it had any real claim. The tactic to sue now is a cowardly and unethical move. Because of this (and having the gut instinct that I would have to sue Fox for whiplash from its bad taste and production) I will not be seeing Wolverine.

Being a comic creator I am sensitive to copyright and rights claims, BUT I find it ridiculous that FOX waits until the movie is completed and fans are rabidly awaiting it's release to pull this legal crap. It basically amounts to blackmail in my opinion. Everyone with an ear to the industry has known this movie was being made for quite a while now and I find it hard to believe that FOX is just figuring this out now.

I wholeheartedly support this petition. FOX may as well be slapping all of us in the face. I can understand wanting compensation but this is just the equivalent of a five year old getting their toy taken away when they weren't playing with it and then protesting "*whine*But it's MINE!" Do I think this will really do anything? No. Because there are far too many idiots in this country for a Fox boycott to even be remotely successful.
