1st, Coach Chili has been an acid reflex problem after he was hired, esp. when he doesn't know how 2 evaluate what a good QB is.
2nd, please no more pain & suffering, hire Marty Schottenheimer. Marty knows how 2 turn mediocre a team into a winner. He took SD, KC & Browns 2 the AFC Championship play-offs.
3rd, I remember the Purple People Eaters & ever since the Vikings went 2 the Metrodome, they have been "soft". Get the Vikings back outside & return us back 2 the "Black & Blue Division" again.
Zygi I know he's your first hire, it was a mistake, you know it & we know it. Unless your goal is to create unrest & move the team, do the right thing & swallow your pride & cut him loose.

I live in Duluth, and have watched the Vikings for 40+ years...It's been a lot harder to watch, since this train wreck of a coach took over.

Chilly is awful, I swear we ran the same exact hb draw alternating sides and between taylor and ad at least five or six times in a row yesterday, all should have been no gains except for ads ability to run backwards and find daylight around the outside somehow...chilly is awful!!!

I support this petition. Coach Childress has been given ample opportunities to prove himself. He was hired to coach a team that had shown promise, but just needed something extra to get them over the hump. Since that time the team has invested a huge amount in top free agent signings and highly regarded draft picks. The team has a good deal of pro bowl quality talent, however the coach can not get any production out of them. The game plans are so simplistic and predictable that the national Fox announcers have actually called the upcoming play before it was run in several key situations. Opposing coaches have just as easy a time predicting what Coach Childress will do. He has been given every opportunity and advantage and has used them to prove without any shadow of a doubt that he is wholly ineffective, unprepared, and completely lacks the skills needed to be an NFL head coach. The Vikings fans have been calling out to you by chanting their desire for a new coach, calling into talk radio, setting up web sites petitioning for a new coach, and by failing to buy tickets. Still no action is taken by you, the owners. If not for WCCO only having a few Vikings games and their wiliness to buy the remaining tickets this Sunday, the game would have been blacked out. Sadly, many fans wouldn't care either. You MUST fire Coach Childress while there is still enough interest left in your fan base to rebuild support for your team and for a new stadium.
Childress needs to go now!! Please, Mr. Wilf, bring in Bill Cowher. The excitement level in Minnesota would be unbelievable!! Say goodbye to any chance of blackouts!! Thank you.
