Ok, I will first start off saying that I love Forza, and I will still buy and somewhat enjoy this third iteration. Unfortunately it is the only option for us simulation fans on the xbox 360. Unfortunately Turn10 has found it necessary to not make customizable public rooms, after the two previous versions have it. I made almost all of my racing buddies this way. Some people have stated "oh you just want to control everything, and kick people out of race's", and this is false. I don't even want to host rooms. I just want to be able to race with people that want a similar race. If I want to race my C class car that I just spent hours building, on a certain track, I cant. You can select what class you want to race, but after that its all up to what Turn 10 sees as "popular" setups. So I can choose C class but I might get put into a room hats setup to run on the oval for top speed, or Class C trucks only, or a race with no damage.

Say I just built an A class Supra to run on Laguna Seca. This car is amazing, it absolutely hugs the turns and is a rocket on the small straights. I want to go on and put this car up against other A class cars on Laguna, with full simulation settings. You cant.

So I select A class and then hit go.

First room: Its A class, yay! wait I can only select trucks? whats going on? oh its popular with the kiddos!

Second room: A class, cars under 400hp only and my supra is sitting at 450hp, damn. Its popular though!

Third room: Its A class, oh its Laguna Seca too! wait its in reverse and cosmetic damage and assists are forced.

Fourth Room: Its A class again, thank god you can at least choose that. Awe man, its SUVs only, cause that's popular. Personally SUVs do not belong on Laguna Seca, leave the room.

Fifth Room: Yay Laguna Seca, full simulation. Wait everyone in the room wants to drift? so everyone is gonna drift, and I want to race? don't get me wrong I love drifting, but its not what I want to do at the moment.

Room Six: A class again, bonus. Its set to cat and mouse? I don't want to ram my supra into a clio, at least not right now.

Room Seven: There is no Room seven. Unfortunately its 7:30am and I have to leave for work. I just spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to race my car I spent hours building.

So Turn10, where does this fit into the simulation experience? Dan G. who I fully respect, has said Forza 3 is for car lovers. He said the amount of customization is going to be crazy. He was excited at the types of new game play that us racers might come up with, like variations of cat and mouse. How are we supposed to do that if we don't have access to the settings, and are forced to play what the servers choose for us?

This brings me the private matches. I'm sorry, but I maybe have 10-15 people that will play Forza 3 regularly on my list. That may sound like a lot to you, you only need 8 to fill a server. However are they gonna be on when i want to play? are they going to want to drift? not if there in the tune shop working on their S class is250. So where is this innovation going to come from?

To the people who say "don't worry after a few months you game type will get added to the hopper and you'll be fine". There are two issues with this. One, it may be added to the hopper, but does that mean its going to come up when I want it too? no its random. Two, Forza 3 is going to have THOUSANDS of options. Between 400 cars, 100 tracks, and many many different assists, how are they possibly going to fit YOUR game type in? They aren't.

The majority of the hopper is going to be filled with 8 lane Veyron drags, gt40 oval runs, and all the other game types that are played most. Us simulation guys are not the majority, and our game types are not going to make it to the top of the hoppers.

So, I am upset. Will I still be buying the game? yes. Will I still enjoy it? yes. However Turn10 has really killed the multiplayer for me and the others like me. I spent hundreds of hours on the past 2 games, and it was all based around tuning cars for certain tracks and then running them with my friends or other people who set up rooms to do so.

I understand that Tur10 wants to make the game accessible to all types of people. Thats great. However some of our hands do not need to be held, some of us want to play the game like we have in the two previous games. If people don't want to search for a custom game then they can use quick race, works great.

So I know that there is really no way for Turn10 to change this. It would be a significant amount of code, and their servers are already setup for match making. I am making this petition so Turn 10 knows how many of us are upset. This is the only way to possibly get it fixed for the next version.

Maybe we can get Turn 10 to change this in forza 4 or other up coming games. They do need to know that we are upset. Maybe there are some changes they cn make, who knows.
