Sony has given us nothing but promisses and faked BluRay demos using the old BDZ-S77 player/recorder, which is not compatible with the upcoming BD format, or demos running off computers.
Please support HD-DVD now with advanced codecs to get the best quality possible in audio and video.
Beyond the codec/legacy/CD support, these HD-DVD players support iHD which is widely considered easier to create and lower bandwidth/memory requirements than Java.
I would hope FOX, among other studios, would support the HD-DVD format due to the amount of HD-DVD players currently being sold, and saturation of the market with the HD titles compared to BRay.
because Fox has many of my favourite movies and I refuse to pay the extra hardware cost of Blu-ray when it doesn't provide better PQ or sound than HD-DVD
