Enough already with screwing consumers in this "war"...just release the dam movies, we'll buy them! I own well over 500 original DVD's but we get screwed over so much by companies that they wonder why people are downloading so much...we are re-living the beta vs vhs war, and if it continues, they'll come up with a "new" format that will replace both HD and blue ray. HINT: want to make money…stop screwing me over and I'll give you more...a satisfied customer comes back. Right now, my money is sleeping in the bank instead of being spent on HD DVDs. What do you say we get the economy going again?
Please allow us, the consumers the chance to pick our preference of which player to buy. I would love to own your titles on HD-DVD and by not offering your titles on HD-DVD you are segmenting your market and not maxing out your profit margin by not offering your movies on both formats. You are doing the consumers and shareholders a disservice by choosing one format over another so soon.
Sincerely.
Tamer Gouda
I have an HD DVD player and do NOT plan on buying a Blu-Ray player or a Playstation 3 due to the prohibitive costs and unused disc space. Please. Please offer your fine films on HD DVD.
Fox, you should support HD-DVD. I'm generally an early adopter - HD-VD made more sense than Blu-ray. I refuse to pay $1000.00 for a player that I may be able to get for $250-300.00 in three years and wil not pay 600.00 for a gaming system at all (I've learned my lessons)! I bought the XBOX add on and enjoy HD-DVD for only 209.00 (tax included). You are holding up progress by repressing content to support the more expensive player. I'm sorry - but until it comes way down in price - I don't care what kind of content BD has nor what kind HD-DVD doesn't have - Hd was good enough to stare a plants and films I don't like! When PC drives hit 200.00 maybe, but until then - Long live HD-DVD!
I read recently that Fox isnt supporting HD-Dvd because they think it will be copied too easily.. But I also read elsewhere that BOTH Blu-ray and HD DVD codes have been cracked... Please dont punish the loyal consumer who pays for movies because of Pirators
I have kept myself from buying any form of High Definition video player for a while. To me, it's not a choice between HD DVD and Blu Ray, it's a choice between HD DVD or nothing. I refuse to support Blu Ray for several reasons. Mainly, Blu Ray is too expensive for mainstream audience use. Secondly, Sony has had a bad record with attempting to create new video standards.
The only reason I have yet to purchase an HD DVD player is that more of the major video production companies need to support it. If your companies really do want to "let the consumers decide", then take a look. We have decided; we're just waiting for you.
In Europe the Playstation3 still hasn't been released yet, so most people bought HD-DVD standalone player or the Xbox 360 with HD-DVD player. A lot of HD-DVD players have been selled and we would like to buy more HD-DVDs. Please support this format too!
Please bring out your titles on HD-DVD as well or (better yet) follow WB's lead with hybrid HD-DVD/Blu Ray combo discs. I think this will be the best way to keep all customers happy. If you do this, I believe that all competition and problems will end.
Please how can you just take Sony's side like that! I beg to release movies on HD DVD! If BD fails will finally see that HD DVD is a wise investment! Please release movies on both formats!
Please I can not go without some of my favorite movies HD DVD is the more economic and rational choice, sony never wins, how many times does that have to be proven

Totally agree with what is written here, there have been a lot of great movies that came out from Fox and having to pay and addition 1000$ for a player is unreal.
I own a xbox hd dvd player and currently around 10 hd dvds and counting. I would purchase Fox titles only on HD DVDs.
"While iunderstand that you initially decided to supportBluray exclusively, the situation today issignificantly different than promised a yearago.
HD DVD has successfullylaunched to market, but i believe that Bluraystill has serious technical issues to overcome which will impede its success."
Over a year ago blu-ray and sony were supposed to dominate, and now sony lost 2 billion dollars to the ps3 and the xbox 360 is outselling it by at least 2-1, same for hd-dvd players to blu-ray, also price would be a huge factor (especially with the average consumer. Sony made a big mistake, and if fox sticks with that format than I think you guys are too. There are at least 10 movies out now that I would love to by for hd but are only out in blu-ray
You held out on DVD the first time around. I hope that you don't wait that long this time. Money is money and if you are releasing Blu ray, then save money and release HD DVD.
