Goal Progress:
Deleted scenes are great. They give insight to what may not have been known, or could be crap that should have been left out. Why dosn't Star Wars have deleted scenes easily accessible? I don't know. George Lucas has been so caught up in retouching his masterpeices that he's forgotten about what they mean to people. Who cares if Yoda isn't a CGI "work of art" in the Phantom Menace? It spoils nastalgia, which everyone loves. Why would George Lucas care if Han killed Greedo without the latters first move, because no matter how you look at it, Solo killed him. The Star Wars Holiday Special. George Lucas hates this. Yet, although it is a well trimmed piece of feces, it's a whole nother that a lot of people don't know exists. You can watch it for free here- http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=323909610753051544&q=star+wars+holiday+special&total=753&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 and download it by going to the right, choosing Video iPod/Sony PSP, hit download, hit save, go to My Documents on the right, go to videos, and hit save. And if you want it in iTunes, just go to iTunes, and drag it from your files into your movies. Now you may be able to watch this regurgitated piece of something you bought at a flea market, but I believe it to be far more satisfying to hold a movie in your hands, as to say, "I own part of Star Wars", followed by an Angelic courus. Georgey Boy wants to release Star Wars on Blu-Ray, make MORE changes, and put it into 3D as a difinitive saga. Whoopty friggin' doo. Sure he could make money off of this, but for an even lesser price, he could just insert a few extra scenes into super-fantastic, unaltered gems, and possibly a Wookie filled special. No matter what he does, he'll ruin the continuity of the Star Wars universe, as he's now making a live-action series, but he'll only be a writer for the first season, and then let it run wild, with a few guidelines. What a fantastic idea! When I have a child, I'll care for it in it's first year, then tell it not to do drugs, and leave it at a bus-stop. And cartoons are the same, yet inner repressing the adult that needs to eventually come out of the basement, as their light-saber will run out of batteries. With all that being said Mr. Lucas, Cool Beans?
