It is a travesty when a government allows tourist from another country to travel into their country under for peaceable means o a holiday, and to be condemned by their local government for acts not having occurred on their soil, but for beliefs protested and protected under our own government in our own country. In 1975, the U.S. government caved to public outcry over the war, and withdrew their support, and the few that were able to flee and take refuge in this country and who continue to oppose the government oppression prevalent in Vietnam, are now being persecuted by the Vietnamese government, and for the U.S. to fail to protect its citizens, would be seen as another this government once again abandoning the Vietnamese community.
