Through the past decades, New York City has been unrightfully thought of as a city with many horrors. Could these horrors come to be?

New York City's new building plans for the new WTC (now called "The Freedom Tower") are horrendous. Foster and Partner's (the business placed in charge for the new site) designs are quite upsetting. Everyone has their own idea of what "the future" will look like. These buildings resemble a steep into the future. Unfortunately, the future does not look bright. New York City has been the classic view of an all-American city. America will not be the same if these building projects continue. Governor Pataki claims, "The new Freedom Tower will be a symbol of New York City, a symbol of America." Please help the Governor of his ghastly mistake. Please sign this petition to Governor Pataki to inform him of the horrors that are occurring within the city.

I support this idea to NOT build the Freedom Tower. It is an insult to the memory of the WTCs...This must NOT be aloud to happen.

The twin towers were much more beautiful than that stupid Freedom tower. They\'ve already completed WTC7 and are almost finished with the Bank of America tower. If we don\'t change the building plans now, we\'ll have to live with that dumb Freedom Tower for the rest of our lives and everybody wants the old towers back. This is the people\'s country, not the governors.

This design of Freedom is not what we want. It is a constant reminder of 9/11 not a healer. A healer would be rebuilding WTC 2 as they were or similar w/ 2 memorials TRUMP PLAN HELLO. Please don't take away our freedom by ignoring the American peoples voices.

The Freedom Tower is nothing more than an illegitimate replacement to what stood there before. I thought that Eliot Spitzer was going to be the hero and this scandal and call for having the Twin Towers rebuilt. What happened to being the people's lawyer? The only thing that Freedom Tower symbolizes is that it was picked behind close doors and cowering to terrorism and building back to the true height. Don't amend this monstrosity, end it. Rebuild the Twin Towers, which really belongs there.

I support this petition. I have lived in New York City all of my life, i grew up with the NYC skyline, the subways, the atmostphere which made me want to stay in the city, but now that i know that NYC is going to tranform into a hideous city, i just might move.

I support this petition. i have lived in new york for my entire life. i grew up with the comfort of knowing that new york will always be my home. the old buildings cannot be destroyed, each building has a story, each is a landmark for each individual. Governor, please realize that building a new building that looks different from any other building, please know that anyother building around the new freedom tower will look overcome by the freedom tower. Help restore my fath in New York

I support this petition. This building project has taken way too long. This should be done with. The fact that it is not done only reminds citizins of the terrible tradjidy that occured on Septembr eleventh. Governor, do you not see a problem with the organization?

I support this petition. I have just incounter more information. It appears that this is not the only building project the group has planned to do...the group will be building the MTA biuldings and will be destroying New York's classic skyline!!! this must come to a stop.

I support this petition. Columbia University is a prime example of how New York City should and Must be. The combination of old and new buildings show how wonderful the city can be! SAVE IT!!! PLEASE VISIT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. HIRE THEIR ARCHITECT.
