This petition was created to get Mike DiMauro the credit he deserves. He had enough guts to write to the Governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick to convince him to change the auto insurance to allow competition. He was greatful enough to write back and saying that he would forward the letter to the commissioner, Nonnie Burnes. Never got a reply back from Nonnie Burnes, not even a "thank you". He deserves some credit for encouraging the governor and the commissioner to allow competition to come. Even worse is that he lost his appeal case for a minor accident that occured on October 19, 2005 and that he got a harsh punishment for it and has to pay lots of money for insurance for an accident that was under $1500. He does not deserve it. The other party was harsh to him. The insurance company was harsh to him. Even the Board of Appeals and the Massachusetts government was harsh to him. If other states can give accident forgiveness for accidents like that, why not Mike and why not in Massachusetts? He has Asperger's Sydrome and the government is not doing anything about it. He can't stop thinking about it and it will not stop until justice is served! He was not able to attend the date on the letter because he had class and his parents were away on a business trip and he lost a friend in a motorcycle accident two days before the date that was set for him. He was not given a fair chance, even though he did send the paperwork back to them. He deserves to get some credit for bringing competition to the insurance market and have the Board of Appeals decision reversed!
