I have created this petition to state my opinion on violence in video games, and observe how many other people support my ideas. My belief is that the younger generation should have a voice in choosing the ratings system of the game, as we are mostly the ones who play them. I believe that a committee should be formed of an equal amount of teenagers and adults to help decide the ratings of new games that are coming out. From my hours of research for a school project, I have concluded that the violence within video games does not effect all kids negatively. I do believe that in special cases that it does effect some kids negatively, but these kids should not have these games in the first place.

i agree, i have been playing violent games since i was 9 and i dont feel like killing and torturing people for 'fun' and i'm sure kids dont want to have their parents to be there to buy a game for them, just cuz of a commitee says 'M15 '

you have got to be kidding me! violence in video games is great! it instead of yelling at the person i hate i just go and play video games and take out my stess on that. it really works.

Just out if interest, how did you 'observe' them? I hope you didn't 'observe' them only online? Because surely we all know that online isn't the 'real world' and people can act anyway they want. If you actually interacted with them in reality then Bravo, well done. I also say the same to x rated films, let us have both teenagers and adults watch them, then decide the ratings? Or is it different?
