Oil companies are in for the money. There is no reason why gas prices should be so high. We have more oil here then what they let on, and lets uncap our oil wells here. That would bring down the cost of gas and make new refineries. I feel sorry for people who make minimum wage as they work an hour to pay for a gallon of gas this is bogus.

Try and keep in mind who makes the money, and who loses it. Us citizens lose money, but nobody makes it. The Oil system is virtually based on luck. Some times there is Oil, sometimes there is not. Raising salaries would only make the problems worse. The government would lose money- and such a shocking blow to the economy would cripple the oil industry, and we would be in for another depression. Cope with the problems, there is no solution.
