It is just a sceme to get more people to watch the movie. Why bother signing this at all? Even is the Godsend Institue were real so what if they're cloning. If God really didn't want us to clone things he wouldn't have given us our imagination, he would have made us alot hairyer(sp?), stronger and faster so we'd be like every other mammal on this planet. Duh, it's a movie. But this points to another problem. Christians, Catholics, and all other “outspoken faiths”. Folks, you're being played. The Godsend Institute isn't real. Go to www.godsendthemovie.com - the whole thing is a movie promotion. If you look closely at the Institue site, you can see that Dr. Wells is actually Robert DeNiro. It's a promotional scam, no need to get worked up. Eventually these ethical issue will raise their heads but it hasn't happened yet.
I'm a scientist and I can assure you that Godsend Institute is a fake. Just read the website; all their information is misleading/false, clearly written by someone quite uneducated in molecular/cellular biology. And besides, it says Dr. Wells, Ph.D. A physician is an MD, not a PhD. This site is a fake, so just ignore it.
I could write an entire paper on this topic, but let me suffice it to say that cloning is wrong: morally and ethically. We have no right to be creating lives in this manner.
Sure, we have the technology and intelligence to clone things, and that's just wonderful. Just because this is true, it doesn't mean that we should be going around making physical copies of those who can't protect themselves! (by that I'm talking about the animals that they practice on) I mean, what if a giant walked up to you and gave you a green-glowing head! before I knew the facts, I was against cloning too. But if you really look at what doctors are trying to do with cloning, it becomes a different issue. They arn't trying to duplicate life, they are trying to save it. With stem-cell cloning technology, doctors can one day repair damaged tissue from heart attacks and fix genetic diseases. We can't discount the benefits, because we are afraid of its abuses.
I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child, but to want to make a clone of them is beyond me. It seems that the institute is preying on people that are vulnerable and have suffered deeply. I could imagine "Dr." Wells (note that he is a Ph.D., not an M.D.) saying "wouldn't you give anything to have your child back?". How could someone resist that when they've lost a child. These people are probably paying their lives savings for this Dr. Frankenstein to re-animate their dead kids (metaphorically).

Cloning is illegal in America, and the website and company are completely FAKE.
That's correct: fake testimonials - the procedures didn't happen.
However, theraputic cloning is becoming very promising for curing illnesses. With this type of cloning, stem cells are grown that are identical to a living person's cells, except they haven't specialized to perform a specific body function. They then can be delivered to the individuals pancreas, where they will specialize into eyelet cells, and thereby cure diabetes. Or the cells can be put in other parts of the body to cure liver disease, heart disease, and even baldness.
This technique does not involve growing full humans and then using their organs for replacement -- this is only a common misconception.
Remember, theraputic cloning is GOOD; reproductive cloning is BAD.
For whatever reason this Godsend website was created, I DON'T KNOW. But I do know that it is completely fake, and reproductive cloning is not occuring in the United States.
