If Emory wants to be viewed on par with Ivy League institutions such as Harvard or Yale, then they need to behave as those institutions. Therefore, a high profile speaker at our graduation is a necessary component. No offense to Pres. Wagner, but it is disrespectful to the graduating class for Emory to not bother to bring in a noteworthy speaker.
