On one hand, I feel betrayed by Frito Lay for changing the flavor of doritos. On the other, I feel I should thank them for making me quit my addiction cold turkey.

The new recipe has some spice that gives me heartburn, and I thought I had a galvanized trashcan for a stomach. Jeez, didn't anyone learn anything from "New Coke"?
Ya know - I hadn't even noticed the packaging that announced the new flavor. But I had noticed that they just didn't taste the same - and chalked it up to buying doritos from our hospital cafeteria. Go fig - who knew they'd changed the formula? I support this petition.
Personally I don't eat Doritos, but my friend Joyce has been militantly opposed to the new Doritos ever since they came out. And she's the smartest and most discerning person I know, so I don't doubt the magnitude of this crisis.
I completely agree. I've been eating a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos a week for 15 years, and these new ones taste like cheap knockoffs. I called Frito Lay to complain and apparently they "now better tasting" Doritos did better in a taste test. I don't know who those people were, but they must have been on crack.
I agree that this chip should be changed back to its orginal taste. I use to eat them everyday since I was in elementary school. Now they are gone, and I no longer buy them becuase they taste horrible. I can't help gettting excited when I think I see the orginal bag...but yet it is still not here.
Doritos was my all time favorite snack for well over 20 years (over 2/3 of my life actually). Every now and then, they would slap a 'cheesier' logo, but when they put that better tasting ad on their packaging, things weren't the same. It was really hard to stop buying them, but I really can't stand the taste of them now.
Elimination of trans fats is good, agreed, but why then make the chips spicier and taste more like chemicals rather than cheese? These new "better tasting" Doritos are horrendous and I haven't bought any since the switch. Bring the original back!
Wow. The Doritos are so bad I googled "new doritos taste bad" and this petition popped up. They are horrible and it makes me sad. I want the old see-thru bag from the 80's back too. Seriously though, they better bring the old ones back.
The new doritos are horrible. If they insist on having this flavor they could at least continue to make the old flavor as well for those of us that hate the new ones.
When I first saw the "better tasting" bag I ran out and bought every old bag I could find. Because the "better" taste like something died on it. Now they have a bag that looks like the old one but I think from trying the "better" bag I can no longer get the flavor of the original without a hint of that rancid taste in there. That is if they have actually changed back.
I shuddered when I saw the "now better tasting" logo on the Doritos bag. I have been eating the originals since I was a child and they're one of the only snack foods I buy. I used to always have a bag of Doritos on hand - not anymore. What a tragedy. Bring back the originals!!
the new taste is nothing like the old. there's less garlic in them. i'm so sad. this was the ONLY fritos chips i liked. i would always buy them. now they've lost a loyal customer. also, it's impossible to contact the company via email regarding this. if anyone knows of the address to send comments to, please post. we need to send them a barrage of emails to get their attention!
I thought I was the only one who noticed this. Dang! I found a replacement tho. If you care, go find the Frito-lay Light Brand Doritos. They taste the exact same as the old ones. Might be the reason they changed the real ones. Because they can make the old ones with one gram of fat now.
I dislike the new flavor as well. It tastes like the cheese on Cheetos. I like Cheetos but I don't want that cheese on my Doritos! I just eat the Taco and Cool Ranch ones now.

The new formula of cheese flavoring is just awful. It is much more powdery and has lost all the taste that made the original great. At least give us a choice FL, because as it is, you have lost a long time customer.

I used to eat them all the time but I can't even swallow these new ones. It's not really Nacho Cheesier anymore.. it's like a whole new flavor.. and it's just not fair that they got rid of the best flavor to do it.

Was just informed by Frito Lay that they spent over $1 billion in marketing to determine that they would be going with the new formula. Obviously, they didn't talk to the right people. They won't be bringing back the old formula. It's over, Johnny. We're dead in the water and we've got no oar. Pack it up and let's go home, boys.
I want the old doritos back! These new ones are cheetoes reincarnated. Cheetoes are great, but we don't need them in another shape. I vote that we go back to the old flavor.

I have called Frito Lay to discuss this with them and they assured me that they would continue to produce both types (new and old) until marketing made a decision. That's nothing but a lie. I have looked far and wide (Columbus, Chicago, Chattanooga, Nashville, San Antonio, LA) and have not found a single bag of the original. This insanity must be stopped, they cannot be permitted to do this. WE MUST FIGHT!!

I am one of doritos biggest buyers. Now I will not buy another bag until they changed back to the original. The "NEW" doritos taste like imation chips they are not good at all. Frit o lay please realize you made a mistake and change them back, been eating doritos faithfully for 22 years. I've tried to eat the new ones and I can't, they are just not good!!!
New Doritos are not very appealing at all. They actually taste like a tortilla chip with Cheetos cheese on them. Very disgusting. And while we are on the subject, lets get Frito Lay to bring back the cool ranch dip in the can. And Keebler to bring back Pizzerias chips. mmmmm
Doritos have been my favorite food for years, and now they're disgusting. I can't even purchase my favorite chips anymore and this upsets me. Please change them back!
The new Doritos have much flavor than how they used to be. I highly doubt that salt content is the only difference. It seems like the formula of ingredients that make the dried cheese has to be different. My boyfriend and I who used to buy Doritos weekly will probably never buy another bag again.

Yeah, I can no longer eat the cheese Doritos. They don't even have a cheesy taste anymore. I haven't bought Doritos since the change. And it's not even out of spite - I just can't stand the taste.
I think the New Improved Doritos are awful they leave a bad after taste. I used take Doritos for a quck snack to work or to a friendly get together not any more. They're awful
They are NOT better tasting, they absolutely suck. I have only purchased the "Now Better Tasting doritos 3 times" 1st cause I wanted to try doritos that were "Better Tasting". 2nd cause I thought that 1st bag was from a bad batch. 3rd because I had a small inkling of hope . . .

" Now Better Tasting" is just a sell-point. They are not in fact better tasting. Unless you compare them to horse crap. But not having tasted horse crap I'm not entirely sure. Don't know much about the salt-content factor. But they still suck. At least release both to the market. My stomach weeps. But not as much as my mouth. I'm still miffed about the release of Nacho Cheesier over the previous incarnation. Release them both. You'll make more money. (hint hint)

Why change a classic? You don't see anyone " improving" the taste of skim milk, or kemps vanilla ice cream, or Sunny D because it's already great tasting and obviously bringing customer satisfaction. Whatever improvements that were made to Doritos was a bad move and has definitly lost the liking of Doritos to me and others I know. Do the right thing and bring back the classic Doritos Nacho Cheese.

Doritos (nacho cheese) have been my only snack food for as long as I can remember. Why would you mess with such a classic chip???? I will NEVER purchase another bag as long as they remain this so called " New and improved" . They taste horrible and leave an even worse after taste....I stand strong with this as does everyone else that I know... If you know whats best, and have any appreciation for your customers needs and satisfaction you will bring the original flavor back...Do the right thing.....
The new Doritos suck. We have completely stopped buying Doritos because of the change. Prior to the change we purchased 1-2 bags per week. Bring back the old Doritos.
I wanted more cheese, meaning more of the stuff you put on the original chips. I didn't want you to change the actual taste. The new Doritos are vile.
