Disney and Fox, the object of this business is to make money off of your content, HD-DVD will bring in far more revenue then Blu Ray Disc. There are so many great titles in each of your libraries, it would be sad to see them wasted on a bad format.
I own over 550 dvds. I plan to keep buying as I upgrade to HD DVD. I want more studios to support this format, so I can purchase a wide variety of HD DVD's. Thank-you
HD DVD is the CLEAR choice to support. Disney and Fox should release on both formats and they'llsee that people preffer HD DVD over blu ray. only sony wants bluray not us, not the consumer.
I think that it is in the best interest of the studios to not select sides in the High Definition format war. Instead, I would like to see all major studios release their films on both formats.
Blu-ray is a joke. There is an obvious difference in quality. I had a PS3 for 2 days and blu-ray looked terrible. My HD DVD drive for the 360 is much better.
I just bought the HD-DVD player for the XBox 360 and I love it. I will be making the switch to HD-DVD and only buying movies in HD-DVD format. If a movie I want is unavailable in HD-DVD, I will continue to buy in the older DVD format, but I would prefer that everyone releases their titles in HD-DVD. Blu Ray is too expensive and offers no substantial benefit to consumers as a movie format. HD-DVD has been on the market longer and early adopters are already making a huge difference with HD-DVD sales outpacing Blu Ray movie sales greatly. Please don't allow Sony to drag us into another VHS vs. Betamax or CD vs. Minidisc war. Remember how Sony promised you that UMD was the wave of the future and everyone was going to have handheld movie players and it didn't work out that way?? Don't allow them to fool you again by letting them convince you that Blu-Ray is the new wave of the future. Everytime Sony has instigates a format war, everyone loses.
My kids won't watch Disney movies if they don't switch, I will make sure of that;) I have purchased them ALL on VHS and decided to skip a tech "evolutionary step" (DVD) and now that HD DVD is my chosen format, I will be re-buying every movie I can buy in the HD format. It's worth it now! What a FAR superior picture compared to DVD AND BD.
i bought a hd dvd player with four movies i would have bought more but they where sold out but they had a huge stack of blueray still that should tell the studios something
I want to see HD-DVD titles on every new release. We can wait awhile for catalog titles to appear.
I have 2 players, and a dozen hd-dvd movie titles i have purchased. Thank you studios for supporting the HD-DVD format.
1080p is 1080p. HD-DVD is cheaper, more accessible, and currently more reliable than Bluray. HD-DVD wins, I plead with MGM and FOX to come to where the money and the future is, with HD-DVD!
And they offer dual discs that play in either standard dvd or hd-dvd players... think superman returns. My kids can take it in the car and flip it over and play it at home on the hd-dvd unit. My support is hd-dvd
HD-DVD has proven to be much more user friendly and more reachable for the average consumer then Bluray. I would like to see at least all studios forced to make their movies on both.
The dvd body met and picked hd-dvd. In this light Sony comes across as the greedy spoiler who is not willing to play well with others. HD-DVD all the way
It's needed. I experienced the whole SONY thing with VHS and Beta, and never want to suffer thru it again. SONY has only a self-motivated $$$$ interest in play here.
We want one standard. HD-DVD should be that standard. Its quality is better than Blu-Ray, it has more features than Blu-Ray, and its much more affordable than Blu-Ray. We have enough expenses in our lives, why would we want to drop $1000 dollars on an item that plays movies?
HD DVD gear is more affordable than its competitor, meaning more users can afford to try this new format. I chose it because the image quality seems superior. Now I want more movies!
What can I comment? Basically I support every positive comment about choosing HD-DVD over Blu-ray, and stop this non-sense war that kills the consumer and the companies over a dispute with Sony-Apple. Toshiba-Microsoft. End the stupid bickering and be together, make HD unified.
HD-DVD is whats up! I had this chick over the crib watching King Kong all snuggled up with me and she said "Oh my god the movie is so clear" and gave me a kiss! Thanks HD-DVD!!!!!
I'm in the market for a high def dvd player and really there is only one choice. The HD-DVD is cheaper and thats the bottom line, I really don't want to see blue-ray become the standard just so I can fork over tons of cash into SONY pockets. NO THANK YOU!
