I have seen both, and HD DVD looks like it the best, especially in terms of vulnerability to disc damage. Please support HD DVD so that we can start supporting you by buying movies
Picked up an HD-DVD Drive for the 360, in addition to a Wii...Didn't bother with a PS3. For STILL FAR LESS than a BlueRay Player, I've got ANOTHER kick ass console, and and badass home theatre upgrade.
HD DVD is the practical and logical solution tothe whole next gen movie format war. It is cheaper to produce, and the discs are more accesible than its counterparts.
HD-DVD all the way. It used a superior codec from square one. Was half the price right from the get go plus manufacturing costs and costs all around are much more consumer and studio friendly. There is NO reason to go Bluray.
We all know Sony's track record with proprietary media, do the right thing and go HD-DVD! Don't keep me from buying your movies just because I'm an HD-DVD owner!
I want to upgrad to hi-def disks, but I'm not about to waist my money on a system that may or may not come out on top. HD-DVD is more consumer friendly--come on and lets get more studio support so I can spend money on movies again!
It's not fair that Movie production studios and record companies as well as some of the big players in technology are making us decide which new optical media to side with.
Some are making movies available on one format and not the other which means unless you own both types of player, there's no chance that you could collect all the movies you'd like to watch at home.
I side with HD-DVD simply for the fact that it's backwards compatible with DVD players (on the reverse) and its cheaper and more readily available.
I got an HD-DVD player for an early Christmas present for $160 (360 add on). I feel like I have stumbled onto a secret gem.. the quality is amazing. I found out that Fox and Disney dont support it, which eventually led me here. Fox, Disney.. why would support a more expensive less adopted format? Give me Aliens!
I have to be honest, I wouldn't be in either camp if it wasn't for the HD-DVD drive for the Xbox 360. It was so affordable and now the movies I have for it are crystal clear!
Please release all movies on HD-DVD to at least avoid alienating the consumers who have chosen HD-DVD as the preferred medium and who now represent by far the majority of the market for hidef movies.

HD-DVD has already won. The fight is over, its not too late to come to the winning side. I'm not sure why Sony ever thought this was gonna work out for them. It was pretty clear from the begining, even to the average consumer, that HD-DVD would ultimately be the winning format.
I will not update my video library with BluRay due to its high cost and low quality. Support HD-DVD and you support the consumers who will return the favor by purchasing your HD-DVD offerings.
HD-DVD is the natural progression to DVD. People will understand what it is. I support HD-DVD fully and want all my high-def movies released on this single format.
