I feel that Sony needs to change there business practices and do what’s best for the public (stop trying to corner and own the market)! HD DVD is the only way to go.
While I can't say for sure which format will win out, althoungh I'm inclined to say HD DVD because it's less expensive to get one and they have an advantage on being available before Blu-Ray. I think the studios should release their movies on both formats.
I would love to see more movie studio come over to the HD DVD side even if it is just a neutral transition. Honestly I cant see why anyone other than Sony themselves would not want my money for there movies.
I'm not buying anything HD until those guys get it together and pick one. Unless some high-end universal players come out. Format wars have worn thin on the consumers and we are tired of this tactic.
HD DVD will be the eventual winner in my book. Also, I believe the whole "war" is pointless, has no one heard of Holographic Storage coming out in a few years.
While like both formats, i do wholeheartedly agree that there should be only one format. And i now own both the XBOX 360 and PS3 systems i at present own only HD DVD movies and i think that the cost factor and economics of this format(HD DVD), from what i've seen and read should be THE FORMAT instead of this two format business!!!
on g4tv today they did a poal to witch tech would fail in 2007 blu ray had an astounding 57 percent of the vote against it where as HD DVD only had 18 percent against

I own an HD-DVD. This should be the only Standard. I have owned betamax in the mid-late 80's, I had Minidisk, and most recently have the PSP (which i enjoy. But what happened to my UMD movies?) Sony media has always never suceeded. Why would it now?
This is to all studios out there who currently don't support HD DVD to PLEASE reconsider your position & begin backing the true superior format, HD DVD!

Give the people what they want! The clear choice is HD DVD on so many levels that have already been stated and restated a million times. The studios need to open their eyes and not withhold content on the HD DVD format.
I have purchased the HD DVD add on to the XBox 360 and so far have purchased 10 HD DVD movies. I would urge all studios to release movies in HD DVD format and let the consumer decide which they prefer.

this is your demographic speaking. i am also an hd-dvd user. nobody i know has a ps3, and very few want one. lots of my friends own xbox360s and are interested in or own an hd-dvd add-on player. this is already close to a potential 10,000,000 consumers for your titles. SUPPORT HD-DVD! especially you disney/pixar!
Blu-Ray is too proprietary, too expensive, and completely unnecessary. I support studios either switching to HD-DVD entirely, or at the very least, allowing their customers to decide which hi-def format they wish to buy.
