let the big companies fight over their technologies and please just give the consumers the movies. It's not our fault why should we suffer and why should you not get our purchases.
to the movie studio that support blue ray just look here if all yuor movies were on hd-dvd just think of all the sales you would have with us buying all of them. so please switch and release your movies on hd-dvd
hd dvd. i have read sony's interviews in gaming mags about the ps3 and blue-ray and over the years sony execs have had thier egos explode. thier formats fizzle out. i like the choice of dvd or hd dvd on one disc. dvd is already in everyone's home and if take a movie to someone's house youll be able to play it regardless of player. all hd dvd needs are more releases more often.everywhere i look theres sony with thier displays shoved in my face. i used to be a huge sony fan and only bought sony, then i grew up.
My wife and I love HD-DVD. We have purchased over 20 films in the past three months. Since Blue-Ray is so expensive, it will be quite some time before we even go that route. I would like to see studios releasing in both formats...let consumers decide which technology they want instead of letting hardware companies decide for us!
Better codecs being used across all titles, cheaper for the consumer and studio! Don't let Sony win with an inferior product which costs more. Capacity is obviously not an issue in the HD playback realm.
the format is cheaper and only 10% more expansive then a normal DVD, the quality is absoluty great. The players are almost half price instead of those from blu ray. Some movies you'll also get the normal DVD version on the disc. For the manufacturers it's easier to choose the HD DVD format since they only have to modify their system to start making HD DVD and with blu ray they have to make a complete new system to make it all work. I'm really glad with my HD DVD Player and I hope they start making more HD DVD movies and bring them out here cuz I still have to import a lot now.

Showing my support for HD DVD, 29 movies in my collection so far. Hopefully more studios will start supporting HD DVD so my collection can become even larger. The Look And Sound Of Perfect is for me.
I have been waiting to purchase an HD TV since 1998, until high def DVD recorder/players were available. An HD TV without HD content is not much better than my current TV. At the end of 2005, I was happy to here that at least high def DVD players were finally going to be available soon, only to be disgusted by finding war on the high def DVD format. Not going to be a victim of this war, here I still wait to purchase an HD TV, until this war is over.
Not only is this war impeding my purchase of an HD TV and high def DVD players/recorders, it is now holding up the purchase of a new notebook computer. I really need a new notebook computer, but it has to have a high def DVD player/burner too. Since notebook computers can not be upgraded, I can’t afford to purchase a new notebook that may be totally obsolete in a year or two, from a DVD perspective. So, here I wait for notebook computers to be available with high def DVD player/burners. I wonder if this is the reason for the huge down turn in notebook computer sales recently.
I can’t believe that I am the only one waiting for this war to be over. Are the electronics manufacturers totally in sane!! They must be losing Billions of dollars!! Since HD-DVD has a far superior picture quality and costs less than half of Blu-Ray, it’s a no brainner. Dump Blu-Ray and go with the HD-DVD format NOW!!!

I really want Disney to come to their senses and release on HD-DVD. I've already bought the 360 HD-DVD player and love it. Please resign from the competition Sony, you put up a fight and lost, time to cut your losses and step down before you lose more money than you did with the PS3 launch.
I will not buy BluRay. Make it HD DVD, or don't plan on making any sales of movies to me. (I have over 200 DVD titles now) I'm on the fence with HD- I am waiting to see a shake-out before I buy HDTV, HD DVD, HD Satellite receiver, etc.
Sony does not seem to have much luck with its risky new foramjts (UMD...mini disk etc) and i can see Blueray and the PS3 being sony's doom :) VIVA LA HD DVD ...
Blu-ray is dieing before it had a chance to survive. Sony goes and gets you to make blu-ray only because they are afraid. Give in to what they were afraid of! HD-DVD!!
we need more movie titles. the studios that don't support both will lose out because i and so many other people are ready to buy alot of our favorite movies
