I am looking foward to seeing more on the non hd dvd studio supporting this fine format,HD is the only format for me,and most of my friends.

Was all set to buy my son a PS3 for Christmas. The shortages should be an absolute disgrace to the company. I went with XBox 360 and HD DVD player and am lovin it! Sorry Sony.. I love the TVs, but you're way too late.
I bought an Xbox 360 HD DVD playter now after much debate based off the better quality of their discs and cheap price compared to Blu-Ray. The War is over, Blu Ray has already lost.
theres no comparison, hdDVD utilizes NEXT GEN VC1 encoding, unlike blue ray sticking to 10 year old mpeg2
plus its cheaper
and that attracts people to buy it by a longshot
Blu Ray is the next in a long line of failed Sony proprietary formats, and it's already killed the Playstation 3 because of launch delays & added cost. Don't be sucked down with it! Get out now and release on HD-DVD.
Like everyone else on the list I'd like to see more HD DVD content. Sony has a lot of great titles in their library. It's a shame that they won't be on HD DVD for a long time to come.
After months, HD DVD has proved what it is capable...Europe is under way to discover and already addopted this format..let the audience makes its choice
The lower price of the HD-DVD players allow my family to purchase more and more software in the HD-DVD format. The high price of Blu-Ray players and their lack of availability make Blu-Ray a no-go in my family.
The only real war I see between the formats is the capacity. Who cares. When more space is needed HD-DVD will be there. There will be a limit hit before its more reasonable to go to a newer format. How long has DVD held us out for with its limit?
I did not renew my Disneyland passes this December after about 5 straight years. Until Disney decides to give us consumers a say in this format war, I chose not to support Disney.
The HD DVD format is clearly the most user friendly next gen video media format. The methods sony is currently using to prohibit media being distributed in multi-formats clearly characterizes the current state of their proprietary media.
I have made the commitment to HD DVD and have no intentions of buying into two different formats to view high Def movies. I will only buy HD DVD's now (no standard def or BR DVD) so those studios that are not producing in HD DVD will not be selling me any movies now or in the future.
I agree that HD-DVD should be the standard. Blu-Ray discs are too expensive, and the backwards-compatibility allowed on the HD-DVD discs make them much more cost effective for places like Blockbuster to carry in the future.
Format wars are for hardware manufacturers; software and content providers benefit from having both formats fully supported and allowing their customer base to retain the entirity of the DVD market.
Wake up Fox/Disney, etc.
Until you start releasing movies on HD DVD you are missing out on a lot of sales, certainly more than you are getting with Blu-Ray.
