HD-DVD has superior picture quality and Toshiba is not trying to gouge the consumer with $1,000 price tags. Don't support the corporations, support the consumers buying your products.
I just got a Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive and I don't want to buy a PS3 or a $1000 player to watch a few more movies. Most of the movies I watch are already HD-DVD. You are only hurting the people you sell to by not going with the popular format.
This format is cheaper and more reliable than sony. Remember, sony dropped the ball on blu-ray and almost half of regular dvd's will not play on the players alone.
I want HD-DVD to be the main format for HD DVD world. Plus the cost factor for HD DVD player are cheaper, and easier to afford to buy more HD DVD movies.
I am sick and tired of Sony and their proprietary hardware! I wish they would learn to fit in with the rest of the industry. I am sick of special batteries, memory sticks, tapes, DVD copy write formats, etc. Sony can kiss my A**. I will not buy any more of their products. I will be relegated to standard DVDs for all my Disney titles I suppose :(
Not only do I support the clear leader in HD, I am going to boycott Best Buy etc. for refusing to stock and market HD-DVD. The average consumer can see the bullying tactics of Sony and their strategy will back fire.
i just bought hd dvd add on for the xbox 360,its such a awsome deal!the picture quality is better that blue ray!i only have 2 bluray movies compared to 15 hd dvd the better choice!
I really want to buy only one player, and from the looks of it, that would be an HD-DVD player. My only concern is that all the major companies are spread out, meaning that we'll be able to watch some of our favorite movies, and not others. Having a single next-gen format would be great, but all I'm asking is that the companies allow US to make the choice.
I'm a proud owner of the HD DVD add-on on the Xbox 360 and I love it and don't see why I should pay more for a machine that's not gonna give me the same quality in most cases.I work for Future Shop (owned by Best Buy) and the guy from Home theatre told me that he sold 1 bluray player in eight months. We sold three xbox add-ons in one night the other day.
Blue-Ray, what ajoke
Sony like always is trying to brain wash consumers into thinking that buying their PS3 w/ Blue-Ray will makit a standard Technology. HD-DVD is the consumers choice of delivering top of the line Audio/Video visuals for todays generation
We Need One standard and one standard only! Sales of high definition products will continue to remain low until the consumer community knows that there will be no compatibilty issues. Get over the technical variances in product line and settle in on ONE standard.
