am not interested in a semi crippled format like bd..seeiung as how you can get some fox titles on hd dvd in europe makes a farce out of the whole bd argument..hd dvd is here, works a treat and doesnt cost an arm and a leg.i have about 400 dvd's and am getting a nice collection of hd dvd's..and am not going to buy a blu ray player at all.....so for those companies that want to make money, and your current customers happy, support the consumers choice of format, not the hype machines choice of format
Please, this format war is killing everyone's want for High Def. HDDVD is a great technology and everyone should support it!!!! It's stable and costs less! It would be a great transition from DVD to HDDVD
hd dvd is way better.i own both,so i know.the only reason blu ray is selling more movies is that they dont have very many good games,so you have to buy something
I believe HD DVD to be the only matured and reliable next-gen movie format, despite the obvious benefits of extra storage that would come into play if Blu-ray technology ever advanced beyond the beta stage.
HD DVD is the logical choice for people who want to enjoy High Definition movies at home. If not for the Playstation 3, Blu Ray would be dead. DOnt allow a format to win when it is only being kept alive by a videogame console!

This has been a no-brainer for me ever since I read the specs. HD DVD is cheaper to make, has better compatibility and up converts standard DVD‘s too! This is the right choice! I own a Toshiba XA2 and I love it!
there are alot of people out there ready to spend big on your movies on hddvd surely the cleaver thing to do would be to release your films on both formats and let the consumer show you what we want
I am currently an owner of players on both sides of the war and have indeed noticed that as far as quality, HDDVD discs do tend to be much better quality movies. I am a huge Disney and Fox studios fan, and do find it sad that i can only purchase movies of this type under bluray. I would urge these studios to do whatever they can to publish movies in the HDDVD format as well. I understand there are likely contract issues that may prevent this soon, but once that runs it's course all efforts should be made to include HDDVD as a valid format.
I have an xbox 360 and recently bought the hd-dvd drive for it and i'm very happy with my purchase. I just need more movies for it now. Please help me movie studios! Especially Disney, my son will also have an xbox 360 for christmas and will need new movies too. See a pattern here studios? Familys want hd-dvd, better,CHEAPER!
Disney get on board with hybrid HD-DVD, safe purchase for me as the kids have portable DVD players and the family has HD-DVD. More kids play XBOX 360 than PS3, Your in the wrong camp!
