I am not a fan of companies backstabbing consumers, which Blu Ray is doing by releasing Blu Ray 2.0 making all those $400 blu ray players people bought absolete, making them fork over another $400 or even more to get the new one. How much longer till 3.0 comes out and 2.0 is absolete, it is total BS.
I ask you to reconsider your sole support for Blu-Ray. At least support both formats and let the consumer decide which one they prefer. HD-DVD is more reliable and cheaper for consumers to enter the market of HD. Give us the choice! You will make money either way.
Let the consumer decide which format they wish to support. Movie studios should support all high definition formats that are available to the consumer.
HD DVD! Why? Because It's cheap! It's safe! And a natural/smooth step in the technological evolution. Blu Ray needs to mature much more and by then we got a better storing format... The holodisc! By the way are HD DVD players much more efficient doing their job. you have to browse the Web for a long time to find a unsatisfied customer, now this aint the case with Blu Ray players.
For me HD dvd is the way forward. It handles all my SD dvd's and plays HD disks without any flaws.I refuse to hand my hard earned cash over to sony with their overpriced players and their stupid coding on their disks which is completely pointless .
HD DVD is the best consumer choice. inal spec. quality players that are complete. HDi interactivity and lower prices. Customer ease of acceptance and name recognition.Microsoft, Universal, Toshiba, DW
Why must they always confuse the consumer. Will they ever learn there lessons (VHS/Betamax) SACD/DVD Audio) Seems like one piece of a big pie is better then half of a very small pie
