I support this petition. There should at the very least be an opportunity for the level's creators to edit their level to be in compliance. They should not completely lose the work. That is inane.
I support this petition.
I dont own LBP, or even a PS3, but i do plan on getting both in the future. this story of cold heartless shut down of people's creations is absolutely unforgivable, especailly since LBP wouldn't survive a weeks worth of sales if it wasnt for the creations of those you pulled.
After learning of the removal of the Azure Place’s I will be promptly returning LittleBigPlanet, and urging others do to the same. This is an unfortunate turn of events given that this game was on the Christmas list of many family and friends. I will not be further supporting any of Media Molecul’s products. Furthermore in learning of Sony being responsible for the terms of moderation, I urge Media Molecul against further doing business with Sony. As for Sony in terms of today’s Global Economic Crisis you are walking fine line in your blatant disregard with your consumer base. This is so unfortunate given that I once respected Sony, I am seriously considering turning towards Microsoft.
I support this petition. I am scared to death of publishing my level in fear that it's going to be "moderated" (See removed). You are scaring people into not doing what it is that the game is designed to do.
The moderation and griefing system is broken. It needs to be fixed. I have a feeling that some d-bag griefers are the cause of this problem, but even so, Sony needs to investigate WHY the levels are being griefed, instead of just blinding giving the axe to them.
I support this petition. Media Molecule wanted to see what we can do with the game. They said they're excited to see it. "Azure Palace" was one of the most original and creative user created levels I've played on LBP. Why take our creative minds away?
I support this petition. MM & Sony, I'm on of those biggest fans that sell this game to everyone else. Making things like this senseless moderation is what makes me want to do the opposite.
I will not buy this game until this is fixed. It is the ONLY thing the game offers, and if it doesn't offer that it doesn't offer any reason to buy it. PERIOD
I support this petition. I just published my first level that took a good 40 hours of couch-time and would be crushed if it was treated with the disrespect given to The Azure Palace and others. Sony expects us to shell out cash for their products then we, the consumers deserve some respect.
Sad day. I really wanted this game, but now they seem to be "mod'ing" anything that any person reports. Value proposition? Fail. What's worse? Freedom of speech? EPIC FAIL.
I support this petition. Azure Palace and World of Colour are perhaps the two most popular user created levels in LittleBig Planet. For a game whose biggest selling point was the distributing of user levels, this is pure disappointment for me. These two levels were rich examples of quality and originality. No part of either level is offensive or effects copyright. Myself and others held these levels as a benchmark for success, but now we are left disgusted.
This really is rediculous on Sony's part. What exactly is the point of having a vast level creator and 'user created content' if the best of it is obliterated for the poorest of reasons? This needs to be fixed. Now.
I support this petition. LBP is an amazing toolset that has inspired, and will continue to inspire, countless creative souls to invent new and innovative ways for all of us to play. Trashing all of their hard work for no apparent reason is just plain insulting. Please change the moderating system.
We're starting to see an erosion of the original purpose of user-generated levels in LBP. I understand copyright and content issues, but the moderation system is currently too strict.
The moderation in this game is destroying what makes the game fun. It's hard to have faith your level won't be removed when any random complaint (that can be totally unwarranted) gets your level taken down.
The moderation is too strict, blind and mute! Quit deleting every level you see, play the level to make sure it actually warrants deletion, and for God's sake tell the creator what they should change to make it better!
I support this petition. Instead of outright banning the levels, there should be a rating system. Of course, the levels infringing on intellectual properties should be banned, but they (Sony's moderators) really need to investigate the matters instead of deleting every single level being reported for abuse. If things keep going like this, I dare say sales will be affected. I know of many people wanting to purchase Little Big Planet, but are waiting for this fiasco to come to a close. This is getting way out of hand.
I support this petition. Players should have a right to be informed if their creations are deemed unfit, and be given a chance to amend their levels to bring them back in an acceptable form (perhaps by having the level re-examined before re-publishing is permitted)
