Way too harsh moderation. If it needs to be done, then fair enough. But you could at least inform the creators of why it needs to be modded and give them a chance to fix their mistakes.
I support this petition. i have made more psn frinds theies last cupple weeks from lbp alone than any other game i have had, that says something..that this game is FUN, i bearly played R2 for a while..because of lbp.. but with moderation.. they are totaly taking the fun out of i, 2/3s of the game is being striped..the whole.. creating..and sharing, because why create and share and be in fear of your level being good. so it can be moded? please fix this fast bfefore "new costumes and stickers" common sony.. dont bog down mm like this
I support this petition whole-heartedly. To handcuff any possibilities of making a level as a tribute, send-up or homage to popular culture is wrong. But to use such draconian measures, with not warning or explanation, ensures that the video game community so desperately needed for this game to be popular, will not stick with LBP.
I bought a Playstation 3 solely for LittleBigPlanet. Until this game was announced I did not see myself ever getting one. Now I am starting to regret my decision, as bad decision after bad decision is made by Sony in regards to what could be a wonderful game. So, yes, I support this petition and hope that maybe somebody at Sony will see it and it can save this wonderful game.
I support this petition. The fact that Azure Palace (a level that contained nothing that violates any agreement) was deleted, is incredibly ridiculous. The moderation system needs change.
I support this petition. It's really a damn shame such an original and awesome user level was taken down just like that.It really does make playing LBP less enjoyable.
I support this petition.
I was going to buy LBP, but i don't think I will now, ill just stick to making maps for PC games where no one can tell me what to do thanks.
I have heard a lot about the PS3 and LittleBigPlanet and the customization of the level creator was the one reason I was going to buy the game along with a PS3. I held off for a bit though and bought an Xbox 360 due to more of my friends having an Xbox then a PS3. I still planned on getting a PS3 this winter as a Christmas gift to myself for the Blueray and of course LittleBigPlanet.
Sure enough, the moderation that I have seen thus far has completely turned me off from purchasing the game and a PS3. Seeing that it is in fact Sony that is moderating the player generated content sickens me. This game had so much potential and was being talked about as "the one reason to buy a PS3" in my close circle of friends.
Now with Media Molecule creating one of the most customizable and unique games in the industry with Sony turning around and destroying the one feature that makes this game truly unique, you have lost a fan and a potential buyer.
Please fix your judgment on these issues and lets put the players in control. Create a patch to allow players to report "offensive" maps instead. This will make this a gamer's game instead of a corporate game of cat and mouse.
I support this petition. I bought a PS3 for this very game and am regretting my purchase and considering selling it on eBay, along with the PS3. Sony need to pull their finger out ASAP.
A few launch bugs and server issues are understandable but the censorship is ridiculous, I'm trading this game if this stuff doesn't get sorted out soon. Do you know what offends me far more than levels with giant cocks floating about the place? The idea of some big brother dickhead standing over me and telling me I can't play that level.
I support this petition. I recently had a chance to play the Azure Palace before it was moderated and thought it was fantastic and original. This is a disappointing and disturbing sign of things to come for this game.
I support this petition. We were given a great oppurtunity to create and if we have violated or infringed on anything than a heads up would be greatly appreciated
this game is great, but people should be allowed to make what they want as long as it is not perverted or have foul language! a little red splat on the wall or some blood does not warrant offensive!
I'm in full support of this because I really couldn't imagine if they had modded my level and not given me an explanation, so I have huge sympathies for anyone who's facing this issue.
I support this petition. I find the over moderation of LitttleBigPlanet's user created content is ruining the experience.
Please endeavor to fix this issue so that all may enjoy Little Big Planet as it was intended.
I support this petition. Sony is taking/"moderating" out everything this game was meant to be, and I am incredibly dissapointed that so many people's creativity is being so vastly hindered.
I support this petition. Sony, you keep this careless stuff up, and you might just see Media Molecule heading over to Nintendo. The main reason I bought LBP was for the user levels from the beta. Might as well sell it now.
Sony's online population is already second-rate compared to the amount of people flocking to XBoxLive. LittleBigPlanet could be the catalyst for a resurgence of interest in the PS3's online potential, but not if this game's true potential is cut short by heavy-handed moderation.
I support this petition.
