As Harry Potter fans, we were estatic when the first book came out onto the big screen. Now, four movies later, with the changing of directers almost every movie, story material has been altered/edited/butchered/chopped or however you want to say it, it has been slowly progressing away from the heart of the book.
As Movie 4 was released this past November, many fans were disappointed in the amount that was cut to lead up to the ultimate scene thus far in the series: Lord Voldemort's return. I, myself, was pleased with the outcome of the movie, but thought it lacked many things that was removed from the plot after first seeing it.
Now, with Movie 5 still in it's pre-production stages and filming due to start in February, I don't want the same thing that happened to Goblet that will happen to Phoenix. Order of the Phoenix is the largest book in page count in the series so far, (and personally, my favorite in the series) so that's a lot of information that will either be kept in, or chucked out.
I think we, as a Harry Potter community and fandom, should let Warner Bros. know that they should break the 2 and a half hour time barrier; the fans are growing up, and I think I can sit for an extra half hour; what about you?
