As many of you are well aware, the release date of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has been pushed back from a November 21st release, to a July 17, 2009 release.

Reasons given were basically pinpointed that due to the amounts of loss revenue from the Writer's Strike, that a summer release would generate more revenue for Warner Bros.

While many adults may understand the economics in the decision, the children who have been yearning for the November release date will not. In fact, as this announcement was released today on August 14th, marking the original countdown to 99 days until the release...finally in two digits...but pushed back into the 300's.

This movie line is so huge and the fan base even bigger, that no specific date would affect the profits that Warner Bros. will receive...in short, it will be huge no matter what date it is released!

I have already emailed the president of WB and will continue to push their buttons including boycotting all WB movies from now until we, as part of DUMBLEDORE'S ARMY, get justice and have the release date back to November.
