I support this petition. The movie will be huge, no matter when it opens, WB are just being ridiculously greedy and causing upset amoungst hardcore fans. Shame on them.
I support this petition. Not even attempting to disguise the greed motivating this change is nauseating in the extreme. Your assuming a loyal fan base will boost your summer profits, but insulting their intelligence by hoping they won't care why your making them now wait 11 months for this movie. We like the movies because we love the books, and what JK Rowling has created, not what Warner Brothers has done. This move is a horrific display of money over art, and I for one will no be purchasing a theatre release ticket for this movie.
I support this petition. What is the point in shelving a completed - no edits needed, already being advertised film for a year! ?? WB are just money hungry!
I just...
When it comes to Harry Potter, Warner Brothers just keeps letting me down, time and time again. Casting, superfluous scenes, cutting out important parts of the plot rendering the films nonsensical to anybody who hasn't read the book. A theme park? Honestly, what? Why isn't the theme park in Essex or Scotland, anyway? Warner Brothers have never cared about Harry Potter for what it truly is and that's been clear since the outset; it was plain to me when, at 10 years old, I went to watch the first film, that they didn't care about the content of the books.
But this trumps everything they've ever done. We have it from Alan Horn that the film will be ready to release in November. There is NO reason for the delay, no reason whatsoever, that pertains to the quality of the film, which is all they should care about.
This film is going to make money whatever. This franchise must be raking in billions a year already. This is pure, sickening greed in the highest degree. I'm appalled and, frankly distraught.
I gotta say, you've no idea how much self-restraint I had to use to not swear in this.
I support this petition. there comes a point when a company must give back to the fans that gave them the millions they have. Corporate greed never leads to anything good.
I support this petition.
WB decision is total rubbish! I am infuriated by their decision to make Harry Potter fans wait 11 months for the release for Half Blood Prince. Their decision was based solely on how much more revenue could be squeezed out of the release. But what WB has failed to realize is that by pulling such an asinine stunt like this they have enraged a large portion of the Harry Potter fan base, and in doing so have hurt any chance they had of making mega bucks on this release. I know for sure that if I see the film at all now it will be only once. No multiple viewings for me. WB you have made a MONUMENTIOUS MISTAKE!!!!!!!
this is bull *Carp*. yes i am a twilight fan, a big one too, but Harry Potter comes first! we been waiting for this movie for the longest time. we been waiting for ginny and harry to finally kiss, and dreading to see dumbledore die. twilight is big, but its not as big as harry potter and i think it will never be. now dont get me wrong. i love twilight, i love it as much as i love harry potter, but come on. it was pathetic of them to move the date to july 17 09. they only moved it because it would have gone up against twilight. so they moved it next year so they can make more money. well, i have made my descion, on november 21st, im sitting outside my movie theater with a sign stating i came to see Harry Potter, not twilight. then dec 12 on the ACCUTAL date release for twilight ill see the movie, and now, i might not hbp. i refuse to see it a year after its orignal release date. ill just wait to download the movie or wait to dvd. im not looking forward to the movie anymore.WB bascailly just took away my love of the movies now
I support this petition. I totally agree with this!!! Changing the date isn't going to do much, the same amount of fans were going to see the movie in november, that will now have to see the moive in july!!! y is warner bros so stupid?!?!?!?
KEEP IT ON NOV. 21!!!
