I am the mother of Michael and Damian Wilson. My boys just recently joined the Football team and Copper Canyon High School and I am very disappointed and saddened by the schools disrespect for the sport. I always thought that sports figures were supposed to be role models to the community and peers. This school has used the football team to hide bully's and menaces to society. They have had several fight at the school over the past two years and have merely gotten a slap on the wrist, on the other hand the other parties that have been involved with the pack have been suspended for 3-9 days and some have even been expelled for the remainder of the school year. On August 15th I received a call from a group of girls who witnessed some boys looking for my boy because of something that he had heard. I immediately called the Phoenix Police Department and they transfered me to the Glendale Police Department and then the Phoenix Police dispatched some officer to my home and I tried to file and incident report. I was told that I needed to go to the school to file it with the officer there. Before I could get around to doing so my son Michael called the next afternoon from school stating that two of the boys there had called their uncles to the school and were scared that they were going to jump him because they have made some threatening remarks to him in the locker room while he was dressing out so he was afraid to go to practice. All the while his coach is standing right there and did nothing. My other son needed my husband to come to the school and watch a football video. When we came to the school I stayed in the car because we had just come from getting something to eat. My husband my nephew whom we had just picked up from his school and my sons went into the locker room to find the coach.. A few minutes later three students came running out of the locker room yelling it is an all out brawl in there. I ran inside to make sure that it was not my boys. I saw my husband on the ground being kicked and punched by 6 or 7 of the football players and my 14 years ols son whom is also a football player being choked by one of the uncles. I could not even see my nephew because there were so many boys on them. I saw my son Michael in the corner with the coach and one of the other players so I assumed that he was okay. There was one coach on the scene whom I will call our hero because he was helping my boy's and husband by getting the team off of them. After the whole thing was over The coach was puching my nephew and then he stated to the police that he was afraid on him. He was falsifying information to the police and she school officials. In the end all of us went to jail including me that one who was out in the car eating and did not throw a punch whom did not do anything. The school has looked the other way for far too long and I am not going to just lie down while other students are still at risk of these boys and the school. God Blees anyone who comes in contact with these people.

Hey Mamma, I am so sad to hear of this situation. One thing you can rely on is the power of God to handle people who persecute and oppress, including the ass who left the first post! Crazy to think we are in 2006 and this still goes on so blatently. Keep ya head up Mamma...
