Microsoft are well known for having made some pretty problematic software in the past. We've all seen that dreaded blue screen at one point or another. But IE6 has to be one of the worst things Mr Gates ever put on our beloved machines.
Internet Explorer 6 is the oldest, buggiest and least able of all browsers still in use today. And yet, somehow, even thought IE7 has been available for around almost a year, IE6 is still the most popular browser on the internet.
This madness must end now.
The only people still using IE6 are...
- People who don't know other browsers exist
- People who don't have a clue about how they can update their computer software
- People who work for companies whose IT department is just plain lazy or incompetent
We must to spread the word and help these poor misguided souls. We must show them a world with tabbed browsing and session management. A world where your browser understands and obeys web-standard. We take them to a place where clicking the refresh button really does refresh the page.
And if they're not ready for such a wonderful world, we must at the very least help them get Internet Explorer 7 - which is still pretty crap, but nowhere as bad as its predecessor.
Let's make this happen.
