On Wednesday 16th June 1976, thousands of learners in Soweto marched out of their schools in protest. Most of them had never been in a protest rally before. A central part of the anti-apartheid was the fight for free and equal education. At that time student fought and died for the right to a decent education for the poor. The government and the education minister are saying that there is no money for free education and that student must settle for what they get. This is nonsense!!!! There are many problems faced by learners today that prevent learners from enjoying the right to basic education. The most common problems are: learners have to walk long distance to get to school because there is no school in the area, where parents are unable to pay the schools fees, many schools are unlawfully turning learners away from school and discriminating against them in other ways

Fistly let me say to the student of Sinako High School it was wrong burning down the books and there are other ways of toy-toying and to voice you concern to the Department of Education. Surely I understand your anger. Shooting of learner by police it was totally wrong and it is the intimidation to the student. We do have a serious problem with our justice system especially SAPS who have proven to be good for nothing except for harassing people and believe you do not need to be at fault to be harassed by SAPS from experience and the funny thing is that its always the black cops that harasses African people. We do indeed have a problem with the Police.

Student were shot by the Police and some of them were arrested and appeared in court. I'm CALLING UPON THE NALEDI PANDO TO IMPLEMENT THE FREE EDUCATION FOR ALL,
