I served with pride with VA 34 onboard the USS John F. Kennedy from 1973-1977 at the beginning of my 23 years of service in the United States Navy. I loved that ship and thing that she should be be preserved as a testimony to all who have served and dedicated and given there lives for this country. God Bless the U S Navy and all who sail aboard her ships.
As a former crewmember of the \"Big John\", I would love to see the Kennedy turned into a museum so I can show my future grandchildren where I onced served my country.
I am a plankowner and believe Big John needs to be a museum so that the Navy tradition can be taught to our grandchildrren and theirs .This is a great ship it was not taken care of in its final years a fault of command at the time.
I support this petition.
This great ship bearing the name of a great man should be preserved for posterity. Too many great ships have already been scrapped. It would be a crime to do this to the Kennedy.
Thank you.

I proudly served three years on Big John from 75 - 77 and had some of the best memories. It would be wonderful for my children and grandchildren to walk her decks. Boston is a fitting place to berth her as a museum.
I support this petition.Because my uncles served on this ship.It was a very hard time in my life, and the Captain made me the ships mascot. It was the early 70s and i was far from home away from my family, they took me in and i will never forget the way they protected me and made me a part of the crew
