Jediism is a hastily growing religion and spirituality, not to mention a way of life that has been slowly developing since George Lucas's debut of the Star Wars films in 1977. Jediism touches on all aspects of an 'official' religion including divinity, ethics, codes, monasticism, and etcetera. An official Jedi Order has arisen within this unofficial religion called the Nobu Jedi Order, better known as simply the Jedi Order. There are those who believe that Jediism should not be a "true religion" because most of it has been absorbed from a Science Fiction movie series called Star Wars, though has it really? A lot of influences come from Shinto, Taoism, Buddhism, Chivalry, Bushido, Paganism, and several Mid-Eastern belief systems. This intolerance is rather sickening from my point of view. People are actually fighting, yes fighting, the Jedi faith from comming into 'official' existance. So here, I am starting a petition for Jediism to become and official faith, religion, spirituality, whatever you may call it under the United States of American law.
