"Vinny the Pug" Seeks Recognition for His World Record Attempt!

In Guinness's latest book of World Records, there's a human with six rattlesnakes dangling from his mouth. This single moment of human insanity was good enough for him to win recognition. Yet, Vinny's 36+ months of climbing and posing atop big boulders in Arizona only rated him a form letter of denial from Guinness. Having gone where no other canine has ever been before, surely Vinny the Pug's World Record attempt deserves to be taken seriously.

"Vinny's Request for "Guinness World Record" Recognitions Rebuked"

For over 3 years Vinny has been on a Quest to set a totally new "Guinness World's Record". Along the way he has created an incredible photo catalogue of himself posing atop boulders he has climbed. With the use of a film camera, his Trainer, Photographer, Biographer & Publicist has catalogued an image library containing thousands of unbelievable pictures of Vinny toiling in the Arizona heat in his desire to set a new "Guinness World Record". Recently, Vinny's Quest was dealt an incredible setback in receiving a form letter of refusal from a Guinness researcher.

On September 2, 2004 Vinny received an email from Ms. Amanda Sprague of Guinness Record Research Services stating that Vinny's attempt would in fact not be considered. The refusal document displaying Claim ID #113102 and Membership ID #104500 contained the typical boilerplate verbiage which clearly suggests that Vinny's petition had never even reviewed.

It is Vinny's belief that his "World Record" attempt was not taken seriously by Guinness because he is in fact canine. As a result, his accomplishments have been denied equal consideration by "Guinness World Records".

Despite this setback he will continue his Quest now to set a new but unbreakable "World Record".

Vinny is asking Pet Lovers all over the world to contact Guinness to express their views on this matter. It is his belief that soon Guinness will have to come to the realization that feats of superior performance should be recognized regardless of all other factors.
