I think that punk was and is a subculture started as an outrage against political injustice, corporations, and then the Oi! movement in the 80's that preached teen angst, unity, and abandoning major labels for the sake of creative freedom. being punk doesn't mean you have to be anarchist, you don't have to dress the part, and you can listen to stuff other than punk, the way i see it, if you're into the scene, the REAL scene, you're punk!
