On the humanitarian side of the issue, not only does marijuana help me
sleep (since I have severe insomnia issues) but it also cures migraines,
and other forms of pain (which is why it's so frequently used by those
with terminal illnesses) and also helps to control some psychological
disorders, such as my bipolar. Also, if the government would legalize
marijuana and tax it (overbearingly, of course) perhaps they could balance
the budget that our darling George W. so effectively destroyed. Also... it
is a proven fact... nobody... not ONE person has ever died from Marijuana.
(Not directly.) You can't overdose on it. You can't get a bad
batch. It's a natural plant that grew for hundreds of years in the
wild without any problems. The only people who die from marijuana (despite
what the TRUTH ads say) are those who are foolish enough to make poor
decisions while under it's relaxing influence. The marijuana
didn't cause them to get in the car and drive and hit the tree. Same
as the alcohol. You're punished for driving under the influence of
alcohol, but if you're caught with marijauna, you're in trouble.
No two ways around it. Alcohol is by far more harmful than marijuana. I
can vouch for that myself. I'm watching my father drink himself to
death. |

well,i dont smoke marijuana anymore, but i think they should legalize it,
with laws to enforce it, similar to the ways they have laws to enforce
drunk driving, they could put up laws againt smoking weed and driving, etc,
itd be no more hazardous than drinking, and well, in my opinion drinking
causes worse long term problems, and marijuanna definately has less
additives than cigarettes, i've never heard of someone dieing due to
smokeing weed, and if it does happen, its not as often as someone who was
killed from being drunk or lung cancer, caused by cigarettes... |

1. marijuana is natural; of the earth; (unless manipulated so) it is all
natural with no chemicals added...unlike cigarettes which contain enough
different poisons there are too many to list.
2. compared to alcohol: weed does not destroy a person's judgement and
cognitive abilities like drinking does; you can still drive a car, work,
and do any other normal function, high; it doesn't affect your
judgement on physical attraction either :)...you won't be sleeping with
someone you wish you didn't; you won't puke from smoking too much
(maybe from eating too much food after getting high...but not from the weed
itself; and if you do, you're probably allergic); NO HANG OVERS!
3. on a personal side: it helps me fall asleep when my mind is worrying
about stuff; when I'm pissed off or frustrated it calms me down and I
don't worry about the **** anymore; it's great for pure relaxation
