Please support HD-DVD as well as those of us consumers who have made HD-DVD our format of choice. I disapprove of Sony's attempt to monopolize the HD movie market with their videogame-based numbers tactics and support Toshiba's stand against them.
whether or not you as a studio believes you are supporting the better product, you are not leaving an option for the consumer that faithfully supports your product. the choice should not be in the hands of the studio but in the individual consumer.
The cost of Blu-Ray is too high for initial support for non enthusests, making HD-DVD the fall back. HD-DVD has higher standards for quality currently, and the spec is finished where Blu-Ray can change their specs.
Please support HD-DVD! It is obviously the better format for the consumer, Blu-ray is over-priced and a bunch of smoke and mirrors! PLEASE SUPPORT HD-DVD LIONSGATE!!!
When you actually look past the numbers (which only serve to woo consumers before they see the price tag), the formats are no different in PQ and AQ. They both offer the same features, albeit with HD DVD having their features finalized since entering the market. Sony still has to have BD finalized on October 31. Do the right thing and support both formats. HD DVD is much more inexpensive, so consumers can spend less on the HD player and more on the HD films.
I know many people, friends and family who own, or plan to own HD DVD over BLU RAY DISCS. (with little to advance knowlege) Also, HD DVD players and discs are less expessive-with the same quaity, even if sony and friends pulls money from you if you back HD DVD, I'm sure in some way, and in the long run, you will make much more money. Also, you'll help alot of people enjoy great movies.
