If anyone has ever heard the album, "Kick Out the Jams", by MC5; it is truley one of the loudest and greatest live performances ever recorded. People are shocked when they hear the blazing guitars and raw power of this Detroit band.

With the 40th anniverasry of this landmark album's release coming in 2009, it would be fitting to re-release this album with the 8 tracks that were originaly left off "Kick Out the Jams". Considering the sheer energy the band had that night, even if the tracks left off are considered sub-par, it would be a treat to hear them for the first time.

These are the following tracks this petition asks to be remastered and released. Recorded October 30th and 31th, 1968 at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, Michigan.

-I Believe To My Soul
-Black To Comm
-I Put A Spell On You
-Stormy Monday Blues
-Born Under A Bad Sign
-Ballad Of A Thin Man
-Upper Egypt
-Tunji

At the time of this album's release, MC5 was under contract by Elektra Records. Elektra is now part of the Atlantic Record Group. I ask the executives at Atlantic Record Group to consider the importance and popularity of this album. Anyone who has bought "Kick Out the Jams" has told anyone who will listen that it is a amazing piece of music by an amazing band.

If Atlantic Record Group has already begun to assemble these tracks and remaster them, you have done a great service for MC5, their fans, and musicians. If this has not yet begun, think about the reception it will recieve when you announce that one of the greaest live recordings of all time will have extra tracks to enjoy along with the original material.

I thank anyone who signs this potition and I also thank the Atlantic Record Group to taking my request into consideration.

I think it's a duty to the fans to release the aforementioned material, to give the people a little more of one of their favourite bands of whom their is so little.

This sounds like more than just a curiosity. This would certainly general some capital for the label, so logically they should do it.

I do wish to hear these, and I think it should be on a 40th anniversary edition re-release of Kick Out The Jams.
