All around the country kids are kids are rocking out to the hardcore tunes of My Chemical Romance with their eyeliner, black nail polish and lipstick, Hot Topic clothes and long, greasy, dark-dyed hair. We should all be happy for these kids because they finally feel like they belong and have found some good-quality, hardcore music. Now they can watch MTV without having to associate themselves with the likes of Usher and the Backstreet Boys. Isn't that wonderful! Now they have something to identify themselves with and give their lives meaning!
Listening to the album you can tell that My Chemical Romance have really studied their instruments, put a lot of thought into the writing and have some real, deep experiences to draw on for material. For example, they sing about such extraordinary personal events such as breaking up with a girl, being dumped by a girl and being upset over breaking up/getting dumped by a girl. Man, if only such meaningful, intense things could happen in MY life. Also, you can tell that this band and The Used helped each other learn music and set their styles, which was smart. I mean, isn't it good if one good band sounds identical to another good band? That's so economical! Now instead of going through the trouble of setting yourself apart from the rest of the flock with your own sound, you can sound just like another band, which makes it easier to write music, choose your wardrobe/make-up and stage performance style! VERY efficient! Why waste all that time making yourself unique?
And not only are they so similar sounding, but the sound that they have in common with all these other bands, especially The Used, is GOOD! I mean, I love the whiney, cracked vocals of a boy still going through puberty, the overused, clich� power chords and the simplistic, repetitive drum beats and fills. And let's not forget the solos! I mean, these guys could put a pro that knows more than 5 notes to SHAME.

Well first of all I do not support this petition. Although, I am on here, I'm on here to state my opinion. MCR is not emo, they are alternative rock. If you've ever listened to "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love." You'd know that. Their second cd is no more emo than metal is. If you knew what that cd was even about you'd stfu. They're music actually takes talent, unlike this rap shit everyone's obsessed with. It's unique, it's different, it's refreshing. My Chemical Turd... I don't know if they ever had their time, if so, this is over, I heard two songs from them last week so I decided to take a closer look at them, I listened to their last album, I am not a fan of these wannabe cool bands, and as a young guitarist/song-writer I've seen and heard a lot already and this is what I have to say about this album;
Their compositions are totally weak (and it's not a strong word, I've heard a 17 years old guy with better compositions and he was not even in a studio or plugged), they either got lucky or had a lot of money already, I can't believe these bands are in the industry of music today, they wanted to be known and rich and you don't need to be smart or skilled in this century to make money, their intrumental's nothing creative and their vocals are just plain bad (specially "Gerard" as you say), and I mean through the whole album, you all know about the "singing difficulties", but eh it works, the kids are buying it, some of them are freak groupies (again like Hannah here) and some of them wanna be "rock stars"... I hope I'll be dead before these kids become these rock stars like My Chemical Turd... I mean Romance because they'll ruin the Rock (if you can still call it Rock).
I definitely support this petition, it is unfair for REAL good artists when you see American wannabes like that being rich (or stealing money from ignorant peoples) for performing this ****.
