Both rap and metal require skill, but in different ways. Most of the mainstream rap about bitch, drugs and money is shitty, recycled garbage over shitty beats. But there are a good many rappers who can rhyme amazingly fast, and also rap about meaningful topics. Look up some real underground rap, before you condemn it all. As for metal, the instrumental and vocal skill required to play most metal is huge. Is is quite possibly the most technical genre of modern music there is, and like someone previously pointed out, there are so many styles of it, that anyone who's into to heavy music can likely find something they like. BTW, I play lead guitar for a thrash metal band, AND rap in an underground NH group called Warehouse Collective. I love and appreciate both styles of music, because I am open minded, unlike most of you morons. So, SUCK ON THAT.

ok where is the talent in rap? so what you can rhyme a few words and loop them 1000 times to some crappy synth beat. anyone with musical talent need not apply to the realm of rap cuz to make it in the rap industry you just need to pay someone to push buttons to make a song and all you need to do is talk into a microphone about the STUP!DEST SH!T and boom your a millionare corrupting the music industry. and if you wanna call us metalheads girly lookin peoples then you need an education because thats only the emo and punk fags who have no talent so they whine about their made up problems and play bar chords and hit open e chords 100 times in a row o wait im talking to a bunch a rappers so in retard terms thats playing shitty guitar! the music industry should honor true metal with vocal talent and amazing guitar mastery and a REAL drummer and a REAL bassist. people who devote their lives to their instrument of choice and come together to make up a song of the purest talent are spat upon anymore. can you not see the corruption rap has brought to the musical buisness!? itts seriously making people into retards. every time a hip hop kid comes to talk to me at work i gotta have someone translate him for me. and besides we all know the true source of hip hop...mother goose. now who likes rap?
