This is a petition to request the City if Eureka California take urgently needed steps to improve pedestrian safety and control traffic speed in the residential neighborhoods on Harris street between I street and S street. Traffic continues to move at an unsafe rate of speed and accidents occur at an alarming frequency.
The following options could be used individually or in combination as determined by a traffic specialist:

-Increased speed limit signage including radar signs

-Traffic Circles

-Chicanes

-Speed Humps

-Curb Bulbs

After too many accidents to list- two of which involved Law enforcement vehicles- it is time to take action and increase safety before its too late.
