March 7th COMP Conditions
Created by D P on 26 March 2008 @ 6:05:18 PM
To whomever it may concern:
I took the March 7, 2008 COMP. I am writing this letter to express concern regarding some external factors that disturbed me throughout most of the exam period. There was excessive noise during most of the four hours while I took the COMP in the Hyatt Conference Center. The noise was so loud that, at several points during the exam, my desk literally shook. I am not certain what the cause of the noise was, though it seemed to involve some type of construction.
The noise factor adversely affected my concentration, and because of this I feel that the test was not a good measure of my performance. I am sending this letter to the Ross administration in hopes that they will take a close look at the inadequate testing conditions, and take steps to make sure this never happens again. I don't feel that the conditions were conducive for my maximal performance. This exam was only for third time test takers, so having an environment that allowed maximum concentration and performance was imperative. The results of this test literally determined the future careers for the students taking it, deciding whether or not they could continue their medical education with Ross University. As a student who has put my faith in Ross, I felt it necessary that the school provide us with testing conditions that would allow maximal performance for such an important, potentially life-changing exam. I am signing this letter as a statement of concern, and as a request that the administration strongly look into this matter and take whatever steps necessary to rectify the situation.
Sincerely,
Concerned Students of Ross University
