The government doesnt make it legal, and heres why. Cigs and Alchohol cause thousands of deaths a year, and when people find a non-lethal alternative what are they going to choose. the fact that it is illegal causes more problems. it pumps money into the black market, which helps gangs. making it legal would take money away from gangs and crime life. it goes for making almost anything illegal. if alcohol and cigarettes were made illegal it'd happen with that. just keep it all legal.

little story, my dad did coke for a year or two and lost 3 jobs, stay all weekend each t9ime he got paid, and and almost got divorced twice.

In the United States, they are spending over 1 billion dollars of tax-payers money on Drug Testing and catching Marijuana growers. First of all, drug testng should pretty much be called Pot Testing, because other drugs like crack/cocaine and heroin don't stay in your system long enough for testing. There is also talk that by next year, with breathalizers at road blocks, there will also be a small spit-swap test to see if there is any marijuana in your system.. Thats means a joint you smoked on the weekend, and haunt you on the way to work on monday. I dont see why they dont enforce against drugs like Crystal Meth which the stats show use is at a all time high.
But I think they should only legalize posession. Because if they all out legalize pot, that means the goverment will start selling it, and you know the bastards will but taxes and **** on it, thus pot farmers will have no money, and the weed wont be good, and it will be expensive. You obvously have no clue what you're talking about and did not think about what you just wrote. If marajuana was legal all the big dealers would go down and there would be less crime rate. Our government would make a major tax profit becuase they are the ones selling it. A very high percentage of the USA already has smoked or smokes marijuana so making it legal shouldn't make the percentage of people who smoke go way up. This could get our country out of dept. Making the government sell this would also lower prices on weed and get many off the streets and they will have real jobs.
