Marijuana should be legal because it has less toxins than cigarettes and is less dangerous than alcohol. If it were legalized we could put taxes on it buy taking all the marijuana that has been siezed and cleanse it and ready it for sale. Most violence would be stopped because of the legalization.
I think marijuana should be legal because its not a bad drug.All it does is that it makes u sleepy and hungry(munchies!).You cant OD on it, you might get slower but its your body. The effects come after years of use.I Think that the only reason that they dont make it legal is because the gov. wouldn't make that much money off of it because everybody would start growing it. It is illegal because of prejudice people, who are afraid of change. How many people die every year from alcohal overdosing, and how many from weed. I love this country but how can the government waste billions to fight drug wars, when they could sell the weed and use the money in other places. Marijuana should be legal, Marijuana actually isn't that bad for you. How many deaths were caused by alcohol? A lot! How many by Marijuana, not a lot. You see when something bad happens and your high on Marijuana you constantly loose your buzz, but if your drunk you could be drunk for how ever long it takes you to become sober again. Recreational marijuana use should be legal. Being able to unwind at the end of a day is difficult for most adults. Marijuana users are usually passive people who are content to lay on the couch with a bag of potato chips, not commit crime. I know a fair ammount of professionals who engage in it's use and are calmer and more productive citizens. It is much safer than alcohol and is far less likely to be addictive.
