Ok. Metallica is OBVIOUSLY one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. I hate people who say they hate metallica cuz there "old" and theyve never even heard one song. If u ever even heard a metallica song, then you can talk.
Bands like Simple Plan and Sum41 only get popular for a little while. But metallica will live forever.

I live metallica megadeth is no where near as good as them in fact out of the big four they are probably my least faveroite metallica has lost it's roots but one can't deny their first four albums are classic

With the exception of country, I like all music. I enjoy it for the creativity of the artist who was able to put their ideas down onto paper and play them as music. I admire the originality. This is why, basically since Load, Metallica has been a sore disappointment for me. They try a little too hard to try to please themselves and not give their true capabilities and their fans enough to really stay with them. I can honestly say that Metallica IS probably one of the most influential bands in metal, hands down. But up to a point. They have created masterpieces in the past. I'm sure that they can do it again. But for me, the past 12+ years have been sad at best. Maybe if Lars would spend a little less time being the poster child for copyright issues and started doing what he does best, playing drums for Metallica, they could get their heads screwed on straight and create another work of art. Until that time, I think that Metallica is a decomposing corpse in the graveyard of metal has-beens. You want a band that has stayed true to their roots, listen to Slayer, Green Day or Led Zeppelin. Uncompromising. With the exception of Kirk, I say Metallica should retire and move to a nursing home.

No argument there. Megadeth is awesome too... metallica will forever be my favorite band, but megadeth in all honesty is better. Metallica's covered many aspects of metal, each album is different and people hate them for it.

Well me and my Girlfriend, Krista, are both really big fuckin Metallica fans and every single thing I got her for Christmas was Metallica. WE will ALWAYS appreciate their music. They are Kick Ass and always will be!Fuck ne one who disagrees!

, because Metallica is the best thing to ever happen to music. I get tired of people saying "they died after the black album" because they never died, they improved. All bands change over time, its called life. Your not a fan unless you can love and respect everything they do. St. Anger isn't the best, we all know it, but you still have to respect it, ITS BY METALLICA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

I support this petition. Classic band up until the load/reload era. After that, it doesn't even sound like metallica anymore...oh, and an off topic point...metal has become the biggest trend around, everything it used to be against 10 years ago.

I support this petition. Metallica is the Biggest Metal band of ALL TTIME. People will always hate them for one reason or another. However 99% of what I see in when people hate them is out of Ignorance or plain stupidity on the part that they live a "Metal Image" and whatever defiates from that becomes NOT METAL or SELL OUTS. Fuck 'Em All, they don't know shit! Metallica 4 ever!
