The Presidential Citizens Medal is rewarded to a citizen of the United States who "who [has] performed exemplary deeds or services for his or her country or fellow citizens".

Recipients of the award include Muhammad Ali, Bob Dole, Colin Powell, Hank Aaron, Liz Taylor etc.

I believe we should honor those who for the better part of their lives have sought answers, gone against the established authority, fought for justice, galvanized others to do whats right and exposed the not always pleasant truth. Michael Moore will no doubt be one day be recognized by the American government for his contributions, hopefully its sooner rather than later.

He has fought against major corporations, the government, institutions like NRA , he has taking a stand against racism, the war, corporate greed, conservatism, government lies and media propaganda. Millions around the country have watched his movies, read his books and attended his rallies.

No one in recent memory has inspired so many to see through the veil of deceit the government and media had on, and no one since Martin Luther King has galvanized the nations consciousness.

I could write on and on of the reasons why i think he should be decorated with the Presidential Citizens Medal... but i reckon i should keep this within a certain attention span frame and not go off the point. Anyways you can decide for yourself.
