On September 1, 2007, the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team, of the minor FBS division of NCAAF, upset the #5 ranked Michigan Wolverines football team, of the major FCS division of NCAAF, in the "Big House" of Ann Arbor, Michigan (34-32) in what is arguably the biggest upset in NCAAF history.

This petition is designated so that Appalachian State fans can have a chance to see Michigan play App. St. at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, North Carolina in 2008. Appalachian State fans, along with the football team, earned the respectful right to have Michigan visit "The Rock" for a football game.
